E-voting machine to be used in UML 11th National Congress

Kathmandu, Dec 4: E-voting machine is to be used for picking leadership in the upcoming CPN (UML) 11th National Congress.

UML deputy general secretary Pradeep Gyawali said the electronic voting machine would be employed to make the leadership selection process prompt and effective.
Earlier too, CPN (UML) had adopted the electronic voting machine in the 10th national convention held in Chitwan.

“We have decided to use the electric voting machine for leadership selection. Tender to this effect has been already solicited and decision will be taken soon,” he added.
The Congress will pick 251-member central committee, including 15 office-bearers. As many as 2,200 delegates will participate in the general convention of the party. The closed door session of the general convention will be held at Bhrikutimandap, it is stated.
