Mahesh Basnet’s Vehicle Attacked Near Biratnagar Airport

Biratnagar, Nov 23: CPN-UML leader Mahesh Basnet came under attack on Sunday near the Biratnagar airport while he was en route to Sunsari for a Youth Association program.

According to police, two Gen Z youths splashed red ink on the vehicle carrying Basnet and other party leaders as they were exiting the airport gate. Security personnel immediately detained the individuals involved.

The detainees have been identified as Aprit Kunwar and Sanjog Gautam. They reportedly told police that they threw the red ink as a symbolic protest, accusing the UML of opposing the Gen Z movement rather than advocating justice for the youths killed during the demonstrations.
