Kathmandu, Oct 15: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in the price of petrol. Effective from coming midnight, the price of petrol will be lowered by Rs 2 per liter.
Under the revised pricing structure, petrol will cost Rs 159 per liter in Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, and Dipayal, Rs 158 in Surkhet and Dang, and Rs 156.50 in other regions.
The corporation has stated that despite the price hike from the Indian Oil Corporation the retail price has been kept stable to mitigate the impact of the rise on consumers during the festive season, to ensure price stability, and maintain a smooth supply of petroleum products nationwide. However, the prices for diesel and kerosene will remain the same.
