Kathmandu, June 19: The Kathmandu District Court has dismissed a writ petition filed requesting for an order to remove news report published in the media.
A single bench of Judge Shyam Bihari Maurya today dismissed the writ petition filed by Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal Chair Santosh Narayan Shrestha, said the court’s information officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha. The writ was filed in the court demanding the removal of news published on ‘Nepalkhabar.com’ and ‘Bizmandu.com’.
Court information officer Shrestha said that although the court had earlier issued an interim order to remove news published about Board Chair Shrestha, the news does not have to be removed as the writ has been dismissed in today’s order.
