Police also seized two Scorpio vehicles loaded with cannabis.<\/p>\n<p>During the operation to intercept the alleged smugglers, police fired two rounds into the air, according to DPO&#8217;s information officer Chandra Bahadur Khadka.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested are Ramsagar Kumar Yadav, 24 of Dakneshwori Municipality-10, Saptari; Rajendra Prasad Mandal, 45, of Rajgadh Rural Municipality-1, Saptari; Santosh Thakur, 38, of Bihar, India; Raj Kumar Shah, 59, of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-6, and Amrit Bishunkhe, 21, of Dharan Submetropolis-11.<\/p>\n<p>Information officer Khadka said that the five suspects, along with contraband and vehicles, have been taken to the Area Police, Dharan for further investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunsari, Nov 2: Police have arrested five persons and seized more than two quintals of cannabis from two vehicles in Dharan.
