{"id":57640,"date":"2026-10-31T22:48:44","date_gmt":"2026-10-31T17:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=57640"},"modified":"2026-10-31T22:48:44","modified_gmt":"2026-10-31T17:03:44","slug":"rsp-directs-parliamentary-party-to-initiate-process-for-judicial-restructuring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/rsp-directs-parliamentary-party-to-initiate-process-for-judicial-restructuring\/","title":{"rendered":"RSP Directs Parliamentary Party to Initiate Process for Judicial Restructuring"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, October, 31 : The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to seek a parliamentary solution to the controversy involving judges of the Supreme Court, including Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma and Justice Hari Phuyal.<\/p>\n<p>A secretariat meeting of the party held on Saturday concluded that the issue should be addressed through Parliament, with impeachment among the possible options.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also concluded that the dispute could not be resolved through the Judicial Council and directed the party&#8217;s parliamentary group to initiate the necessary process through Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>RSP spokesperson Jagadish Kharel said the party had decided to seek a resolution through parliamentary procedures. He added that whether to proceed with impeachment or adopt another parliamentary mechanism would become clear once the process begins.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kharel, most leaders attending the secretariat meeting favoured filing impeachment motions against the concerned judges.
