He departed to India via the Gaddachauki checkpoint in Kanchanpur.<br \/>\nThe President of major ruling party, accompanied by his spouse Nikita Poudel, is scheduled to pay homage to Kainchidham, the famous religious shrine dedicated to Neem Karoli Baba in Nainital, Uttarkhand. He is travelling by road.<\/p>\n<p>During his three-day religious trip, Lamichhane will also visit the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahiti, India, according to RSP Secretariat member and lawmaker Deepak Raj Bohara who is also accompanying the President. Indian security personnel are providing security to the team as it travels through the Nepal-India border in Gaddachauki.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to media in brief at Dhangadhi Airport, Lamichhane said the visit was entirely personal. Lamichhane said he had been planning to visit such religious shrines for some time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is solely a religious, and no political meetings are expected and planned,&#8221; he added.<br \/>\nHe further said that he is visiting such shrines to fulfil a vow he had made while in prison earlier. &#8220;I urge everyone not to engage in unnecessary speculations or draw any (mis) interpretations from my visit.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mahendranagar, Oct 23: President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, left for India today on a pilgrimage.
