Since the flood on August 26 destroyed the previous bridge, inhabitants were compelled to utilize tuin and zipline systems for river crossing.<\/p>\n<p>The situation proved particularly challenging for residents of riverside settlements, notably Trishuli Bazaar, which sustained direct damage from the flood. The operational suspension bridge has significantly improved accessibility for local populations and enabled the efficient transport of relief supplies and rehabilitation materials.<\/p>\n<p>According to Shailendraraj Pyakurel, President of the Nuwakot Builders&#8217; Association, the decision to commence operations followed the completion of the bridge&#8217;s primary structural components, prioritizing the welfare of local communities.<\/p>\n<p>Remaining tasks include the installation of auxiliary support cables at four locations on each side of the bridge. &#8220;This represents the first crossing structure constructed following the Bhotekoshi flood&#8217;s damage to the Trishuli River,&#8221; stated Chairman Pyakurel.<\/p>\n<p>Bidur Municipality Mayor Rajan Shrestha noted that the destruction of the concrete crossing infrastructure forced residents to traverse hazardous pathways.
