{"id":5618,"date":"2024-07-21T19:18:59","date_gmt":"2024-07-21T13:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=5618"},"modified":"2024-07-21T19:18:59","modified_gmt":"2024-07-21T13:33:59","slug":"constitution-amendment-based-on-need-pm-oli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/constitution-amendment-based-on-need-pm-oli\/","title":{"rendered":"Constitution amendment based on need: PM Oli"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>Kathmandu, July 21:<\/strong> Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said constitution is an amendable document, so it can be revised based on people&#8217;s need.<\/p>\n<p>PM Oli said it in response to the queries raised on his proposal for trust vote in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday. &#8220;The constitution can be amended on the basis of political consensus that takes into account the need and relevance,&#8221; he reiterated.<\/p>\n<p>He further viewed the national charter is a dynamic and lively document.&#8221;Amendment is not an issue of whimsy, but of necessity,&#8221; PM Oli underlined, adding that it is not carried out being biased or getting influenced.<br \/>\nThe propriety is for addressing country&#8217;s need of development, which could be adhered, PM Oli reminded.<br \/>\nHe however expected that the constitution would be amended based on all parties&#8217; consensus. Oli reminded, &#8220;There was no unanimous consensus on constitution promulgation neither was it for the first amendment&#8221;, the PM reminded, adding, &#8220;Irrespective of political faiths and ideologies, we can come in the same place. If we fail to come together, it moves on its course.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The amendment will come for progression.
