{"id":55670,"date":"2026-09-27T18:34:35","date_gmt":"2026-09-27T12:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=55670"},"modified":"2026-09-27T18:34:35","modified_gmt":"2026-09-27T12:49:35","slug":"over-70-militants-killed-in-anti-terror-operations-in-sw-pakistan-military","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/over-70-militants-killed-in-anti-terror-operations-in-sw-pakistan-military\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 70 militants killed in anti-terror operations in SW Pakistan: military"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong> ISLAMABAD, Sept. 27:<\/strong> Pakistani security forces have killed over 71 militants in a series of counterterrorism operations over the past four days in different areas of the country&#8217;s southwest Balochistan province, the military said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military&#8217;s media wing, said in a statement that security forces launched the Operation Shaban on Monday after intelligence agencies identified multiple militant hideouts in the Shaban area of Quetta district and nearby Ziarat district, where militants were allegedly posing a threat to local residents.<\/p>\n<p>The military said 33 militants had been killed during Operation Shaban so far, including 23 over the last 72 hours as the operation intensified.<\/p>\n<p>It added that security forces had cleared several militant hideouts and recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives.<\/p>\n<p>In separate intelligence-based operations on Friday, security forces killed 11 militants in Nushki district and six others in Mand area, recovering additional weapons and ammunition, according to the statement.<\/p>\n<p>The ISPR identified the militants as members of the banned militant organization, saying that clearance operations were continuing in affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants.<\/p>\n<p>The military said that the counter-terrorism campaign will continue with full resolve and the country&#8217;s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Sept. 27: Pakistani security forces have killed over 71 militants in a series of counterterrorism operations over the past four days in different areas of the country&#8217;s southwest Balochistan province, the military said on Sunday.
