{"id":55313,"date":"2026-09-20T10:22:58","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T04:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=55313"},"modified":"2026-09-20T10:22:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T04:37:58","slug":"china-launches-new-satellites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/china-launches-new-satellites\/","title":{"rendered":"China launches new satellites"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>TAIYUAN, Sept. 20 :<\/strong> China launched a group of satellites on Saturday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province.<\/p>\n<p>Launched at 6:50 p.m. (Beijing Time) aboard a Long March-2D carrier rocket, the satellite group, the PIESAT-2 13-16 satellites, entered the preset orbits successfully.<\/p>\n<p>According to the launch center, the launch marks the 668th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.<\/p>\n<p>The rocket is a two-stage liquid launch vehicle. Its carrying capacity reaches 1.3 tonnes in a 700-km sun-synchronous orbit.<\/p>\n<p>Onboard are four Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites, developed by Beijing-based private satellite maker GalaxySpace.<\/p>\n<p>Duan Xiao, chief designer of the SAR satellites, said the satellites are equipped with high-resolution and intelligent payloads that enable real-time processing of remote sensing data in orbit.
