{"id":54900,"date":"2026-09-12T22:30:46","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T16:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=54900"},"modified":"2026-09-12T22:33:24","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T16:48:24","slug":"233k-lpg-cylinders-sold-in-kathmandu-in-five-days-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/233k-lpg-cylinders-sold-in-kathmandu-in-five-days-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Unity among transformative forces essential to safeguard Constitution: Nepal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Birgunj (Parsa), Sept 12: Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that there is no alternative to unity among transformative forces to safeguard the Constitution.<br \/>\nSpeaking at a press meet organized in Birgunj, Parsa, today, the former Prime Minister called for unity among such forces to protect the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Leader Nepal stressed that political parties must work in unison to safeguard constitutional rights, including fundamental rights, democracy, federalism and inclusion, which were achieved through prolonged struggles and sacrifices.<\/p>\n<p>He also underscored the need for the full implementation of citizens&#8217; fundamental rights.<br \/>\n&#8220;The Constitution was not promulgated through ordinary changes. Unity, cooperation and coordination among political parties are essential to protect it. There is no alternative to coming together to serve the people through good governance,&#8221; Nepal stated, emphasizing the need for collective efforts.<\/p>\n<p>He argued that all political forces have a responsibility to protect the constitutional rights of marginalized communities, including indigenous women, indigenous communities, Madheshis, Dalits, Muslims, persons with disabilities and people from disadvantaged groups.<br \/>\nObserving that the public had high expectations of the incumbent government, he urged it to deliver on the people&#8217;s aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>On a different note, Nepal referred to the Bhotekoshi flood of August 26 and called on the government to intensify search and rescue efforts for those missing in the devastating disaster.<br \/>\n&#8220;The country is facing a disaster, and floods in the Himalayan region have caused significant loss of life and property,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Against this backdrop, he urged the government to mobilize all available resources, including human resources, for effective post-disaster operations, including search and rescue, relief distribution and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p>He also demanded an impartial investigation into the Gen-Z movement that took place on September 8 and 9, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Birgunj (Parsa), Sept 12: Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that there is no alternative to unity among transformative forces to safeguard the Constitution.
