{"id":54742,"date":"2026-09-09T20:20:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T14:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=54742"},"modified":"2026-09-09T20:20:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T14:35:20","slug":"putin-trump-discussed-idea-of-trilateral-summit-with-xi-kremlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/putin-trump-discussed-idea-of-trilateral-summit-with-xi-kremlin\/","title":{"rendered":"Putin, Trump discussed idea of trilateral summit with Xi: Kremlin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>MOSCOW, Sept 9:<\/strong> Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump discussed the idea of holding a trilateral meeting with China&#8217;s Xi Jinping at an upcoming summit in November, the Kremlin said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is scheduled to hold a summit in the Chinese city of Shenzhen between November 18-19.<\/p>\n<p>Russia has indicated Putin will attend, although the White House has not yet announced whether Trump will be there.<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether Trump and Putin discussed the idea of a trilateral meeting in Shenzhen during their phone call on Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: &#8220;Undoubtedly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This potential possibility has been mentioned before, and there will be such an opportunity,&#8221; Peskov told reporters, including AFP.
