This year, the UNGA session is to be held on the theme of&#8217; &#8216;Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The key programmes including high-level meetings, observances and general debates under the Session will be held from September 18 to 28. The major agenda of discussions will include the global concerns ranging from health to peace and security issues, as well as humanitarian assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The heads of the governments from the UN members will address the Session in between September 22 and 26.<br \/>\nAmong the primary major events of the session will be held on September 18, which will be dedicated to discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), with a focus on reviewing progress in the areas of human and physical development at the community, national, regional and global levels.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a climate conference is scheduled to be organized on 23 September to address pressing challenges of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>According to the UN, during the conference, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will call for stronger international cooperation on various issues such as the impact of climate change, the role of developed countries in it, the situation of affected countries, energy production and consumer rights.<\/p>\n<p>Nepal, which suffers the direct consequences of climate change, is to utilize this global forum to raise the voices of countries representing those that have contributed negligible to Co2 emissions, but bearing the brunt of its impacts including human loss and physical damages to infrastructure.<br \/>\nNepal is learnt to have focused on issues of climate justice and the adverse impact and the damage caused by climate change on human life, natural resources, energy and other sectors, and compensation demands.<\/p>\n<p>The UNGA, an annual forum aimed at addressing common global challenges, has drawn considerable international attention when the world in increasingly grappling with the climate change impacts ranging from rising temperatures to increasing sea levels to other various issues.<br \/>\nAt the same time, ongoing conflicts in different parts of the world have caused growing economic, physical and social challenges.
