{"id":53960,"date":"2026-08-30T10:27:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T04:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=53960"},"modified":"2026-08-30T10:51:42","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T05:06:42","slug":"china-hands-over-50-tonnes-of-emergency-relief-supplies-to-nepal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/china-hands-over-50-tonnes-of-emergency-relief-supplies-to-nepal\/","title":{"rendered":"China Hands Over 50 Tonnes of Emergency Relief Supplies to Nepal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu,\u00a0 Aug 30: China has sent 50 tonnes of emergency relief supplies to Nepal along with a rescue team as the country continues relief and rescue efforts following the recent disaster.<\/p>\n<p>Two Y-20 large transport aircraft of the Chinese People\u2019s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at around 7 a.m. Sunday, carrying the relief supplies.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft also brought four Chinese tunnel rescue experts and specialized equipment needed for rescue operations.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun, and lawmaker Dharma KC attended the handover ceremony and welcomed the Chinese rescue experts.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Chinese Embassy, the two aircraft departed from Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu and arrived in Kathmandu after a flight of about three hours.<\/p>\n<p>The relief package includes 13,200 items, including tents, blankets, sleeping bags, dry biscuits and first-aid supplies.
