{"id":53677,"date":"2026-08-26T13:57:27","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T08:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=53677"},"modified":"2026-08-26T13:57:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T08:12:27","slug":"health-emergency-operations-center-activated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/health-emergency-operations-center-activated\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Emergency Operations Center activated"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, Aug 26: The Ministry of Health and Food Safety has activated the Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) in view of potential disasters and emergency situation in the wake of the massive flood in the Bhotekoshi river.<\/p>\n<p>Health and Food Safety Minister Nisha Mehta said that there is ongoing necessary coordination with Nepal Red Cross, Lions Club, Nepal Scouts, the health ministries of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the federal hospital in Kathmandu, and the blood transfusion centre for emergency health services and rescue management.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the details of available and vacant beds in hospitals in Kathmandu have been updated, and preparations have been made to manage patients as needed.
