{"id":53396,"date":"2026-08-21T15:28:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=53396"},"modified":"2026-08-21T15:28:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:43:00","slug":"22-year-old-man-killed-in-hostel-attack-in-kathmandu-one-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/22-year-old-man-killed-in-hostel-attack-in-kathmandu-one-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"22-Year-Old Man Killed in Hostel Attack in Kathmandu, One Arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, Aug, 21 : A 22-year-old man died after being beaten and attacked with a sharp weapon at Valley Boys Hostel in Shankhamul, Kathmandu, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased has been identified as Basanta Kalathoki, 22, of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Dang, who was residing at the hostel.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, Kalathoki was allegedly attacked by 18-year-old Shekhar Yadav of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-3, Bara, and around 20-year-old Pramit Patel, who also lived at the same hostel.<\/p>\n<p>Kalathoki sustained serious injuries to his head and neck in the attack.
