{"id":53095,"date":"2026-08-15T18:18:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T12:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=53095"},"modified":"2026-08-15T18:18:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T12:33:36","slug":"two-pilgrims-die-in-bus-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/two-pilgrims-die-in-bus-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Two pilgrims die in bus accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Trishuli (Nuwakot), Aug 15: A tragic bus accident occurred on the Tokha-Chhahare road in Nuwakot today, resulting in the deaths of two pilgrims and injuries to three others.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased, identified as 54-year-old Krishnamaya Prajapati from Banepa and 65-year-old Udayamaya Khatri from Ramechhap, succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The accident took place at Thanabhanjyang in Shivpuri Rural Municipality while the bus carrying pilgrims to Dupcheswar Mahadev, which was parked for lunch, rolled away and collided with a stationary EV van, leading both vehicles to fall approximately 50 meters down the road.<\/p>\n<p>The injured, including 25-year-old Sujata Pokharel, 42-year-old Sharmila Shrestha, and 60-year-old Gyanu Shrestha, have been sent to Kathmandu for medical treatment.<br \/>\nThe bus driver, Sitaram Acharya, has been detained for further investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trishuli (Nuwakot), Aug 15: A tragic bus accident occurred on the Tokha-Chhahare road in Nuwakot today, resulting in the deaths of two pilgrims and injuries to three others.
