{"id":52316,"date":"2026-08-04T08:49:57","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T03:04:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=52316"},"modified":"2026-08-04T08:49:57","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T03:04:57","slug":"two-nepalese-nationals-killed-in-train-accident-in-eastern-romania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/two-nepalese-nationals-killed-in-train-accident-in-eastern-romania\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Nepalese Nationals Killed in Train Accident in Eastern Romania"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>Romania :<\/strong> Two Nepalese nationals were killed after being struck by a train in the eastern Romanian city of Bac\u0103u in the early hours of Sunday, emergency authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at approximately 3:21 a.m. on Chimiei Street, where the victims were hit by a passing train.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Bac\u0103u Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU), firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene with a fire engine, a heavy rescue vehicle, a mobile intensive care SMURD unit and a first-aid ambulance.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, emergency crews found both victims with no signs of life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eTwo people struck by the train were identified at the scene, both without vital signs. Unfortunately, the medical teams confirmed their deaths,\u201d ISU Bac\u0103u said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary information indicates that the victims were Nepalese nationals.
