{"id":51483,"date":"2026-07-18T20:40:45","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T14:55:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=51483"},"modified":"2026-07-18T20:40:45","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T14:55:45","slug":"minister-pokharel-assures-efforts-to-address-long-standing-land-dispute-between-rampur-campus-afu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/minister-pokharel-assures-efforts-to-address-long-standing-land-dispute-between-rampur-campus-afu\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Pokharel assures efforts to address long-standing land dispute between Rampur Campus, AFU"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Chitwan, July 18: Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel visited the Rampur Campus and the Agriculture and Forestry University in Chitwan, beginning efforts to resolve the long-standing land-related dispute between the two institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Both entities have been involved in a land-related dispute for the past 15 years.<br \/>\nThe Rampur Campus functions as a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University under the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, while the AFU remains as an independent university.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister took stock of educational, research and administrative initiatives of both institutions, along with their infrastructure and library facilities, while interacting with campus and university office-bearers, teachers, employees and the stakeholders concerned.<\/p>\n<p>During the discussions, the Minister was informed that the long-standing land dispute between the two academic institutions has its implications on educational development, infrastructure expansion and the implementation of long-term plans of both entities.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, the Minister pledged that solutions would be sought though a coordinated and lawful processes, protecting and promoting educational interests of both entities.<br \/>\nDescribing these institutions as major foundations for producing skilled human resources, while contributing to the nation&#8217;s educational, research and technological development, the Minister vowed to take necessary initiatives to address the dispute in a way that serves the best interests of both bodies.<\/p>\n<p>The stakeholders concerned expressed the hope that the dispute would be resolved through the Minister&#8217;s initiatives, paving way for further development of both institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Hari Dhakal, President of State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, House of Representatives (HoR); Prabha Dhakal, member of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; Minister&#8217;s advisors Shailendra Jha and Saroj Gautam accompanied the Minister during the monitoring visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chitwan, July 18: Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel visited the Rampur Campus and the Agriculture and Forestry University in Chitwan, beginning efforts to resolve the long-standing land-related dispute between the two institutions.
