{"id":50907,"date":"2026-07-08T09:14:37","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T03:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=50907"},"modified":"2026-07-08T09:14:37","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T03:29:37","slug":"ukraines-zelenskiy-signs-drone-deals-with-three-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/ukraines-zelenskiy-signs-drone-deals-with-three-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine&#8217;s Zelenskiy signs &#8216;drone deals&#8217; with three countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Reuters:\u00a0 President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday that Ukraine had signed three more &#8220;drone deals&#8221; with Denmark, Estonia and the \u200bNetherlands, making available its expertise gained from more than \u200cfour years of war with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskiy announced the deals in posts on social media on the sidelines of the NATO summit in \u200bthe Turkish capital Ankara and said that Kyiv had \u200bnow clinched nine such accords.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine has developed a highly \u2060sophisticated drone industry after having only limited expertise in \u200bthe sector when Russia invaded its smaller neighbour in February \u200b2022.<br \/>\nZelenskiy has travelled widely to promote the deals, particularly in the Middle East, where Gulf countries were obliged this year to counter Iranian strikes.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200bannouncing the deal with Denmark, Zelenskiy said the agreement &#8220;opens \u200bup greater opportunities for joint defence production, the exchange of expertise, and \u200ctransparency \u2060in weapons exports&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He said Denmark had been the first country to offer joint production in Ukraine &#8220;and it is absolutely fair that Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of \u200bweapons tested in \u200bwar&#8221;.In a \u2060post on X at the end of the first day of meetings, Zelenskiy said Ukraine &#8220;rightfully belongs \u200bhere&#8221; and repeated that Kyiv&#8217;s main aim \u200bat the \u2060gathering was to &#8220;secure more air defense and stronger diplomatic positions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskiy has pointed to Ukraine&#8217;s need to boost defences against Russian \u2060ballistic missiles \u200bafter two attacks on the Ukrainian \u200bcapital in the past week.
