{"id":49590,"date":"2026-06-15T18:37:54","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=49590"},"modified":"2026-06-15T18:37:54","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:52:54","slug":"usher-country-towards-progress-prosperity-thru-effective-service-delivery-urges-president-paudel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/usher-country-towards-progress-prosperity-thru-effective-service-delivery-urges-president-paudel\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Usher country towards progress, prosperity thru effective service delivery&#8217;, urges President Paudel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, June 15: President Ramchandra Paudel asserted that ensuring good governance through effective public service delivery is the need of the hour for steering the country toward progress and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a ceremony in Kathmandu today to mark the 76th Anniversary of the Public Service Commission, President Paudel emphasized that fulfilling the public\u2019s aspirations for development is one of most pressing priorities for Nepal at present.<\/p>\n<p>Paudel called for making all State mechanisms timely, people-centric, service-oriented, technology-friendly and result-driven to achieve the vision of all-round development of the nation envisaged by those who sacrificed for the establishment of the Federal Democratic Republic.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing confidence in dedicated government employees, the Head of the State noted that self-motivated, disciplined, ethical, responsible employees, committed to serve the nation, could play a decisive role in achieving meaningful outcomes.<br \/>\nHe stressed that the bureaucracy must earn citizens\u2019 trust through the use of technology and smart service delivery systems.<br \/>\nDuring his address, President Paudel highlighted the importance of protecting country&#8217;s merit-based system established under the Constitution\u2019s principles of inclusive democracy and underscored the need to further strengthen its foundation.<br \/>\nAccording to him, the public\u2019s confidence in the Public Service Commission and the principles it upholds had enabled hardworking young people to seek future within a democratic governance system with optimism and security.<\/p>\n<p>Commending the credentials of the Commission, President Paudel mentioned, &#8220;We must not forget that, because of the Commission\u2019s credibility and the systems it has adopted, diligent youth have been able to see a secure future for themselves in democratic governance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed hope that the Commission would continue refining its work by drawing on past experience, accumulated knowledge and global best practices in public administration and recruitment systems.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that, as the Commission\u2019s responsibilities continue to expand, it faces the challenge of making its operations more technology-driven, scientific, systematic and quality-oriented while planning for the future.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, President Paudel suggested the Commission to review its past performance and formulate strategic plans for the years ahead.<\/p>\n<p>He lauded the Public Service Commission for effectively carrying out its constitutional mandate of selecting qualified personnel for government institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the State also praised the Commission for maintaining the core principles of merit, impartiality and integrity throughout its more than seven decades of service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, June 15: President Ramchandra Paudel asserted that ensuring good governance through effective public service delivery is the need of the hour for steering the country toward progress and prosperity.
