Jaishankar in New Delhi on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Jaishankar said India remains committed to working with Nepal for mutual progress, prosperity and the welfare of people in both countries.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming Khanal to Delhi, Jaishankar recalled their previous meeting in Mauritius and highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Nepal and India based on strong people-to-people relations, cross-border connectivity, and shared cultural and religious traditions.<\/p>\n<p>He said bilateral cooperation between the two countries has continued to expand in areas including trade, investment, energy and education.<\/p>\n<p>Jaishankar also noted opportunities to strengthen collaboration in emerging sectors such as startups, artificial intelligence, information technology and renewable energy. He said Nepal and India have been working closely to maintain security along their long open border.<\/p>\n<p>He further stated that India has ensured uninterrupted fuel supplies to Nepal during the ongoing crisis, reflecting continued cooperation between the two neighbours.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jaishankar, the recent visit of Rabi Lamichhane underscored the importance both sides place on bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing confidence that Khanal\u2019s visit would help advance bilateral ties, Jaishankar said there is a significant opportunity to transform India-Nepal relations and realise their full potential.
