Rogers has stressed the need for partnership between Nepal and the US, adding that the US considers Nepal a vital partner.<\/p>\n<p>At an interaction programme with journalists on Monday, Rogers described the MCC Compact as a vital investment for Nepal&#8217;s economy and energy sectors, and expressed confidence that the bilateral ties will be further strengthened through the MCC.<\/p>\n<p>Saying that 112,000 American nationals visited Nepal last year, she mentioned that the US is the second largest source country for tourism in Nepal.<\/p>\n<p>She viewed that the US companies in Nepal will be strong partners if a conducive environment were created for investment, business operation and innovation in Nepal, adding that Nepal carries immense potential for innovation and economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy of the United States added that the US was committed to further strengthen US partnership with the Government of Nepal and Nepalis to support Nepal&#8217;s sovereignty, economic growth and shared prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>She shared that during her meetings with Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and Minister for Information and Communications Dr Bikram Timilsina she talked about enabling economic ties, enabling business environment and expanding digital access.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, June 1: Visiting Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy of the United States Sarah B.
