{"id":47045,"date":"2026-05-03T22:11:32","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T16:26:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=47045"},"modified":"2026-05-03T22:11:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-03T16:26:32","slug":"termination-of-political-appointees-those-getting-appointments-before-march-26-to-be-relieved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/termination-of-political-appointees-those-getting-appointments-before-march-26-to-be-relieved\/","title":{"rendered":"Termination of Political Appointees: Those getting appointments before March 26 to be relieved"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, May 3: The office-bearers in different agencies of the government receiving political appointments before March 26, 2026 have been relieved of their posts following the issuance of the &#8216;Ordinance on Special Provisions related to the Termination of Public Office-Bearers, 2083&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>President Ramchandra Paudel issued the ordinance on Saturday on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs made public the ordinance today, which states that those office-bearers will be relieved of their jobs automatically after the commencement of the ordinance, whatever conditions, facilities and terms determined in the appointment of public office-bearers.<\/p>\n<p>With this step taken by the Prime Minister Balendra Shah-led government with the aim of strengthening the administration and giving new momentum to state bodies, a total of 1,594 officials who received political appointments under various acts and structures will be relieved of their posts.<br \/>\nClause 1 (2) of the ordinance states that the ordinance was brought into implementation.
