The newly elected chairpersons of the parliamentary committees took oath of office and secrecy in presence of Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal at parliament secretariat, Singh Durbar on Friday itself.<\/p>\n<p>The oath taking ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker Rubi Kumari Thakur, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam; Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly, Lila Kumari Bhandari; and parliamentary party officials of political parties.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Krishna Hari Budhathoki has been elected Chairperson of Finance Committee while Sunnima Udas, Chairperson of International Relations and Tourism Committee; Rahabar Ansari, Chairperson of Industry and Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee; Samikshya Baskota, Chairperson for president of Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee; Hari Dhakal, Chairperson of State Affairs and Good Governance Committee; and Bharat Bahadur Khadka, Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Ashish Gajurel has been Chairperson of Women and Social Affairs Committee, Ashok Chaudhary of Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee, Dr Ojaswi Sherchan of Education, Health and Information Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Under the joint committee of the Federal Parliament, Bodh Narayan Shrestha became Chairperson of Parliamentary Hearing Committee while Ganesh Karki of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles.<\/p>\n<p>As the Education Committee and the Committee on Implementation of Directive Principles saw contenders from two different parties, voice voting was adopted.<br \/>\nAmong 12 committees, 11 got Chairperson from Rastriya Swatantra Party and one(Public Account Committee) from major opposition, Nepali Congress.<br \/>\nAll Chairpersons assumed offices on Friday itself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, April 17: Ten parliamentary committees under the House of Representatives (HoR) and two joint committees have got chairpersons on Friday.
