{"id":46055,"date":"2026-04-17T00:47:05","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T19:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=46055"},"modified":"2026-04-17T00:47:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T19:02:05","slug":"karki-led-probe-commissions-report-incomplete-nc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/karki-led-probe-commissions-report-incomplete-nc\/","title":{"rendered":"Karki-led probe commission&#8217;s report incomplete: NC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Patan (Lalitpur), April 16: A meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) central work execution committee has drawn a conclusion that the report of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led probe commission was incomplete, unilateral and selective.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting held at the party central office, Sanepa, on April 15-16 under the leadership of party President Gagan Kumar Thapa demanded formation of a high-level judicial commission for re-investigation since the incidents occurred on September 9 were not adequately probed, informed NC spokesperson Devraj Chalise.<\/p>\n<p>Contemporary political situations, freedom of expression, rule of law, property investigation, petroleum product prices, and other issues were discussed in the meeting, he shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe meeting has decided to remain committed to the constitutional values embedded in democracy, republic, federalism, citizen sovereignty, human rights, and press freedom, while effectively performing the role of the main opposition in the parliament.<br \/>\nHe mentioned that Congress considers the rule of law as the foundation of democracy, clarifying that no one is above the law.<\/p>\n<p>Since the increased petroleum product prices due to the Middle East crisis have affected the lives of ordinary citizens, NC has demanded the government to reduce prices by providing relief in various taxes, customs, and other charges, as well as offering special facilities to students, Chalise shared.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also passed reports relating to the study of the condition of fraternal organizations and the report of the Public Relations Committee abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patan (Lalitpur), April 16: A meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) central work execution committee has drawn a conclusion that the report of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led probe commission was incomplete, unilateral and selective.
