{"id":42155,"date":"2026-02-12T12:48:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T07:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=42155"},"modified":"2026-02-12T12:48:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T07:03:14","slug":"russia-says-village-evacuated-after-military-facility-hit-by-debris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/russia-says-village-evacuated-after-military-facility-hit-by-debris\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia says village evacuated after military facility hit by debris"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Russia said Thursday that it repelled a missile attack in Volgograd region but that debris ignited a fire at a military facility and prompted the evacuation of a nearby village.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defence repelled a missile attack on Volgograd region,&#8221; regional Governor Andrey Bocharov posted on Telegram.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Falling debris caused a fire on the grounds of a Ministry of Defence facility near the village of Kotluban,&#8221; he added, without elaborating on the site.<\/p>\n<p>While there were no were no casualties, he said evacuation orders were being carried out in the nearby village of Kotluban &#8220;to ensure civilian safety from the threat of detonation during firefighting&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Farther north in Russia&#8217;s Tambov region, the governor said college students had to be relocated after a Ukrainian drone strike started a fire.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The fire has now been extinguished.
