{"id":41632,"date":"2026-02-05T18:00:35","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T12:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=41632"},"modified":"2026-02-05T18:00:35","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T12:15:35","slug":"pakistan-reiterates-call-for-full-implementation-of-unsc-resolution-47","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/pakistan-reiterates-call-for-full-implementation-of-unsc-resolution-47\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan reiterates call for full implementation of UNSC Resolution 47"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, Feb 5: Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Abrar Hashmi has said that the long-standing Kashmir dispute can only be resolved through the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 47 (1948).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a programme organised to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day in Kathmandu, Ambassador Hashmi recalled that the UN resolution clearly outlines a roadmap for resolving the issue.<\/p>\n<p>He said the resolution calls for a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the withdrawal of forces from the region, and the holding of a free and impartial plebiscite to allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir to decide their own future.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador stressed that the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people, as guaranteed by the United Nations, remains unfulfilled even decades after the adoption of the resolution.
