The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that the pardon was announced to mark the UAE\u2019s 54th National Day.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry said Nepal has highly appreciated the UAE government\u2019s decision, describing it as a gesture based on humanitarian grounds and friendly bilateral relations. It expressed confidence that the move would further strengthen Nepal\u2013UAE ties.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, the decision was taken in response to repeated requests made by the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, following directives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
