{"id":41227,"date":"2026-01-31T09:25:58","date_gmt":"2026-01-31T03:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=41227"},"modified":"2026-01-31T09:25:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-31T03:40:58","slug":"pillion-rider-dies-in-motorbike-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/pillion-rider-dies-in-motorbike-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Pillion rider dies in motorbike accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Jhapa, Jan 31: A pillion rider died when a motorbike met the accident on the Mechi Bridge in Mechinagar Municipality-6 on Friday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle with registration number (Pr1\u201301\u2013012 Pa 3849) heading to Nepal from India, accidently hit a barricade placed on the road at 10:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the information officer of the Jhapa District Police Office, pillion rider Chetan Katuwal, 40, from Mechinagar-6 died.<br \/>\nKatuwal, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately taken to Mechi AMDA Hospital, Dhulabari, for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>During treatment, doctors declared him dead at 10:55 pm, the police informed.<br \/>\nMotorbike rider, 35-year-old Kashinath Paudel from Mechinagar-6, was also injured in the accident.
