Newcastle struggled to respond, and City maintained control for much of the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Deep into injury time, Ryan Cherki sealed the win by scoring in the second minute of added time, doubling City\u2019s advantage and putting them in a commanding position ahead of the return leg.<\/p>\n<p>The first half had ended goalless, but City\u2019s second-half dominance proved decisive.
