{"id":39046,"date":"2026-01-02T09:01:22","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T03:16:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=39046"},"modified":"2026-01-02T09:01:22","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T03:16:22","slug":"north-korea-leader-kim-jong-uns-daughter-makes-public-visit-to-state-mausoleum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/north-korea-leader-kim-jong-uns-daughter-makes-public-visit-to-state-mausoleum\/","title":{"rendered":"North Korea leader Kim Jong Un&#8217;s daughter makes public visit to state mausoleum"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>SEOUL :<\/strong> North Korean leader Kim Jong Un\u2019s daughter, Ju Ae, who is likely being prepared as his successor, accompanied her \u200bparents on her first public visit to the Kumsusan mausoleum to pay respects \u200dto former \u2060leaders, state media photos published on Friday showed.<br \/>\nJu Ae has been \u200dmaking increasingly prominent appearances in state media over the past three years, fueling speculation by analysts and South Korea\u2019s intelligence agency that she may be in line to be the country\u2019s fourth-generation leader.<\/p>\n<p>Cheong Seong-chang, vice president at the Sejong Institute think tank, viewed Ju Ae\u2019s \u200dfirst presence at the Kumsusan palace as her father\u2019s calculated move ahead of the upcoming ruling party Congress at which her succession might be formalized.<\/p>\n<p>Kim was also accompanied by his \u200cwife, Ri Sol Ju, and senior officials on the visit on Jan. 1, with Ju Ae between her parents in the \u200bmain hall of \u200cthe Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, state news agency KCNA \u200cphotographs showed.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Min, an expert on North Korea at the state-run Korea Institute \u200bfor \u200cNational Unification, said North Korea had been portraying an image of Kim\u2019s \u201cstable family\u201d by showing the wife and the daughter along with Kim on major events.<\/p>\n<p>Kim Ju Ae, who is believed to have been born in the early 2010s, attended this year\u2019s New Year celebrations, according to state media on Thursday. In September, she traveled to Beijing with her father on her first public overseas outing.<\/p>\n<p>Kim visits Kumsusan to honor his grandfather and state founder, Kim Il Sung, and father Kim Jong Il on key dates \u200dand anniversaries \u200din a gesture affirming the dynastic heritage of the nuclear-armed country.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea has never confirmed Ju Ae\u2019s age.<\/p>\n<p>South Korea\u2019s Unification Ministry spokesperson declined to comment \u200don Ju Ae\u2019s appearance.
