{"id":37771,"date":"2025-12-17T07:47:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=37771"},"modified":"2025-12-17T07:47:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T02:02:08","slug":"election-countdown-78-days-to-go-for-voting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/election-countdown-78-days-to-go-for-voting\/","title":{"rendered":"Election countdown: 78 days to go for voting"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>Kathmandu, Dec 17:<\/strong> The Election Commission (EC) has made a new provision on use of flag during the election campaigning.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming March 5 election to the House of Representatives (HoR), EC proposed a new provision in the election code of conduct, as per which, the political parties would not be allowed carrying more than 10 flags.<\/p>\n<p>Such scheme is being introduced to curb the misuse of flag.<\/p>\n<p>The office of the party or election candidate can place a flag prepared with fabric (3 x 4 feet) or have a signboard of same size. The political parties are not allowed to use digital board, flex, or glue signboard, and audio visual materials as the flag.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed code of conduct has further reminded the political parties to not visit the voters&#8217; doorstep in a group of over 25 persons.<\/p>\n<p>The election campaigning will be further deterred using musical bands and pageants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, Dec 17: The Election Commission (EC) has made a new provision on use of flag during the election campaigning.
