{"id":33800,"date":"2025-10-24T08:49:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T03:04:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=33800"},"modified":"2025-10-24T08:49:22","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T03:04:22","slug":"medicines-seized-for-non-compliance-with-standards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/medicines-seized-for-non-compliance-with-standards\/","title":{"rendered":"Medicines seized for Non-compliance with standards"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, Oct 24: A team from the Maharajgunj Police Circle has confiscated medicines that were being distributed in breach of established standards.<\/p>\n<p>At Takshak Pharmacy, in Basundhara, Tokha Municipality\u20135, medications requiring a doctor&#8217;s prescription for distribution were found to be sold unlawfully, following received information.<\/p>\n<p>The confiscated items include 385 tablets&#8217;Spain&#8217;, 750 tablets, &#8216;Anticof&#8217;, 100 tablets, &#8216;Pregabalin&#8217;, 200 capsules, &#8216;Pregabalin LP&#8217;, and 100 capsules, &#8216;Pregamer 75&#8217;, said Inspector Laxman Devkota of the Maharajgunj Police.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the pharmacy was run by 40-year-old Prakash Gautam from Khadbari Municipality\u20138, Sankhuwasabha, and collaboration with the Department of Drug Administration verified that the distribution of these medicines was against regulations.
