A meeting of the Maoist Centre&#8217;s office bearers held on Sunday proposed to take this motion to the upcoming central committee (CC) meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to the media after the meeting, Maoist Centre&#8217;s Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said the proposal to make the existing central committee as the General Convention Organizing Committee will be tabled in the upcoming CC meeting as an agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal &#8216;Prachanda&#8217; will lead the General Convention Organizing Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Sapkota said that institutional views would be made from the party&#8217;s official forum in the changing political context.<\/p>\n<p>The party has summoned its standing committee meeting on September 24 and CC meeting on September 25 to discuss the proposal of the party office bearers&#8217; meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The decision of the Maoist Centre comes in the wake of the Gen-Z protests as the protest has mounted pressure on the established political forces too.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Preliminary discussions were held on the ideals, and procedures and process of leadership handover,&#8221; Sapkota shared.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, Maoist Centre Chairman Prachanda briefed the leaders on the changed political context and proposed to move ahead in a new fashion.
