Ltd.. Participants recalled how in ancient times, philosophical debates on such subjects were held at renowned Indian universities like Nalanda, Takshashila, and Vikramashila.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"911\">Hindu scholar Acharya Ramkrishna Upadhyaya, founding chair of Hindu Jagaran, cited the Shukla Yajurveda, noting that just as the sun sets and rises again, humans too are destined for rebirth. He added that the Ramayana and Mahabharata also discuss the theme extensively.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"911\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29473\" src=\"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/5d881ba3-b1c7-415e-979b-4b0bcf4143b1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1068\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/5d881ba3-b1c7-415e-979b-4b0bcf4143b1.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/5d881ba3-b1c7-415e-979b-4b0bcf4143b1-365x245.jpg 365w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"1279\">Writer Basanta Maharjan explained the Therav\u0101da Buddhist view, saying rebirth is determined by karma, with those who perform great merit often reborn as humans.
