In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel presented a proposal to consider the &#8216;Customs Bill, 2080&#8217; received from the House of Representatives with a message.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to a question raised in the theoretical discussion on the proposal, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel expressed confidence that the bill would solve the problems in customs administration and revenue mobilisation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bill will contribute to preventing revenue leakages, making the customs system transparent and reliable and facilitating international trade,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lawmakers Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami, Bhagawati Neupane, Dr Beduram Bhusal, Tulasa Kumari Dahal, Maya Prasad Sharma and Gopal Bhattarai took part in the discussions on the proposal.<br \/>\nThe Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, stated that the lawmakers wishing to propose amendments to the bill can register their amendment proposals in the National Assembly&#8217;s the Bills Section.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, Tulasa Kumari Dahal, presented the committee&#8217;s report regarding the &#8216;Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Rights, and Procedures) Amendment Bill, 2079.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Secretary of the National Assembly, Dr Surendra Aryal, tabled the message received from the House of Representatives concerning the &#8216;Water Resources Bill, 2081.&#8217;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, June 9: The Customs Bill, 2080 BS has been passed by the National Assembly (NA).
