{"id":21096,"date":"2025-04-15T16:34:26","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T10:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=21096"},"modified":"2025-04-15T16:34:26","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T10:49:26","slug":"health-minister-insists-on-continued-efforts-to-bring-maternal-mortality-to-zero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/health-minister-insists-on-continued-efforts-to-bring-maternal-mortality-to-zero\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Minister insists on continued efforts to bring maternal mortality to zero"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, April 15: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has stressed that Nepal needs to continue its efforts for reducing the maternal and child mortality rates to zero.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting Nepal&#8217;s &#8216;significant achievement&#8217; in reducing the maternal and child mortality rates in the recent years, the Health Minister pledged to allocate the budget for the health sector with a due priority to obstetrics and gynecology.<\/p>\n<p>During an inauguration of the Maternal and New Born Health Simulation Lab operated by the Paropakar Maternity and Women&#8217;s Hospital, Thapathali here today, the Minister insisted on the sustainability of the effectiveness of the lab and its expansion to the province-level.<\/p>\n<p>The lab is located at the Hospital&#8217;s Kupandole branch and the One Heart Worldwide supported in its establishment.<\/p>\n<p>It will be used for enhancing knowledge and clinical efficiency of maternal and neonate health service providers.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary at the Health Ministry, Hari Prasad Mainali, stressed the need of paying attention to the effective operation of the facility.<br \/>\nAcknowledging the constraint of human resources to handle the facility, he said, &#8220;Its sustainability matters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, April 15: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has stressed that Nepal needs to continue its efforts for reducing the maternal and child mortality rates to zero.
