{"id":19362,"date":"2025-03-14T09:28:03","date_gmt":"2025-03-14T03:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=19362"},"modified":"2025-03-14T09:28:03","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T03:43:03","slug":"literary-writer-lil-bahadur-kshetri-passes-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/literary-writer-lil-bahadur-kshetri-passes-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Literary writer Lil Bahadur Kshetri passes away"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, March 14: Literary writer Lil Bahadur Kshetri has passed away at the age of 92.<\/p>\n<p>Kshetri, a permanent resident of Assam, India, breathed his last at Guwahati on Thursday night, chief editor of literary magazine &#8216;Shabdapath&#8217;, Murari Sigdel told RSS.<br \/>\nKshetri was honoured with the Jagadambashree Award in recognition of his contribution to the enrichment of Nepali language and literature through literary writing.<\/p>\n<p>He had penned novels such as &#8216;Basain&#8217; and &#8216;Atripta Ra Bahmaputrako Chheuchhau&#8217;, and a collection of prose &#8216;Assam Ma Nepali Bhashiko Sahrogahro&#8217; as well as short fiction, essays and plays.<\/p>\n<p>Kshetri who had received various awards, including Bhanu Award was feted with the Padma Shri, India&#8217;s highest civilian award, by the Government of India. &#8212;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, March 14: Literary writer Lil Bahadur Kshetri has passed away at the age of 92.
