{"id":1599,"date":"2024-05-07T23:27:17","date_gmt":"2024-05-07T17:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=1599"},"modified":"2024-05-07T23:27:17","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T17:42:17","slug":"414-climbers-receive-permission-for-climbing-mt-everest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/414-climbers-receive-permission-for-climbing-mt-everest\/","title":{"rendered":"414 climbers receive permission for climbing Mt Everest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, May 7: As many as 414 people have taken permission for expediting Mount Everest or Sagarmatha, the world&#8217;s highest peak, in the spring season this year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Department of Tourism, a total of 414 climbers, including 75 women and 339 men of 41 mountaineering groups have so far been permitted for the same.<\/p>\n<p>The highest number of climbers (478) had obtained permission for ascent to the Mount Everest last year.<br \/>\nAccording to Section Officer at the Department, Chun Bahadur Tamang, a total of 971 mountaineers from 112 climbing group had obtained permission for ascending to 30 mountains, including the Mount Everest this season.<br \/>\nA total royalty of Rs 674.7 million has been so far collected from mountaineering permission.
