{"id":14551,"date":"2024-12-26T10:07:40","date_gmt":"2024-12-26T04:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/?p=14551"},"modified":"2024-12-26T10:07:40","modified_gmt":"2024-12-26T04:22:40","slug":"health-ministry-hosts-conclave-for-health-care-strengthening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalsamaj.com\/en\/health-ministry-hosts-conclave-for-health-care-strengthening\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Ministry hosts conclave for health care strengthening"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Kathmandu, Dec 26: In order to strengthen the health care and services of the country, the Ministry of Health and Population is hosting the Nepal Health Conclave in the capital on December 26-27.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry, the two-day conclave has been organized to strengthen the health system of Nepal by mobilizing the knowledge, skills and resources of Nepali Diaspora health professionals and local health\/public health workers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Nepal Health Conclave, 2024 aims to bridge the gap between global expertise and national needs by fostering collaboration between Nepali Diaspora health professionals and national stakeholders&#8221;, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>As many as 1,000 participants registered from 90 countries are attending the conclave to be held in Kathmandu with the slogan &#8216;Connecting Diaspora for Healthcare Strengthening&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Prakash Budhathoki informed that 300 of the registered participants would participate in a face-to-face mode while 700 would join virtually.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry expressed its belief that the conference would promote knowledge and technology exchange between the Nepalese Medical Diaspora and local healthcare providers.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson Dr Budhathoki further said that the conference is to promote partnership for research, innovation and training and formulate healthcare policy and strategy for long-term engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Global practice of Diaspora engagement, &#8216;e-health&#8217; and advanced health, policy dialogue and long-term engagement and research, education and innovation would be the main themes of this conference.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the conference is expected to help prepare the Nepal Medical Diaspora Engagement Framework. &#8220;The outcome of the conference is expected to further facilitate the formulation of strategies for long-term collaboration between local and international doctors, health workers and public health workers and draw actionable policy recommendations to strengthen the healthcare system&#8221;, Dr Bidhathoki told.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu, Dec 26: In order to strengthen the health care and services of the country, the Ministry of Health and Population is hosting the Nepal Health Conclave in the capital on December 26-27.
