US President Acknowledges Food Crisis in Gaza Strip

US President Donald Trump acknowledged the food crisis and starvation facing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“It’s clear that the people of Gaza are not getting enough food,” Trump said in remarks at the White House.

He added that the US is trying to secure food for Gaza, and that Israel will help with distribution.
Trump stated that the US allocated $60 million to provide food in Gaza.

This comes at a time when the starvation of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression and the tightened blockade, has reached unprecedented levels recently. According to the latest statistics, 188 Palestinians, including 94 children, have been killed due to famine and malnutrition.

The Gaza Strip is experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in its history, as a severe famine overlaps with the genocidal war and comprehensive aggression waged by the Israeli occupation since October 7, 2023. Since last March, the occupying forces have closed all crossings into the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of most food and medical aid. This has led to widespread famine in the Strip, in addition to crimes of murder, destruction, and displacement, in blatant disregard for all international laws and norms.
