The United States has denied involvement in Israeli entity’s attacks on Iran.
White House spokesman Alex Pfeiffer said in a post on the X platform that reports of US involvement in attacks on Iran are “fake news,” adding, “American forces are maintaining their defensive posture, and that has not changed. We will defend American interests.”
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell also commented on an Israeli channel’s report about US aircraft participating in strikes against Iran, saying it was “not true.”
In a related development, the White House announced on Monday evening that US President Donald Trump will return to Washington before the end of the G7 summit currently being held in Canada due to developments in the Middle East.
On Friday morning, the Israeli entity launched airstrikes targeting nuclear and military facilities in Iran, resulting in the deaths of leaders and scientists, in addition to civilian casualties.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on sites in the occupied territories, raising fears that the region could slide into a wider confrontation that would threaten regional stability.
