Kathmandu, Feb 15: The Ujyalo Nepal Party on Sunday released its election commitment paper for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for March 5.
At a news conference in Kathmandu, the party has released its commitment paper focusing on results through good governance, prosperity and social justice.
On the occasion, Chairman of Ujyalo Nepal Party Kulman Ghising said his party’s election commitment paper has clearly presented a roadmap for expanding employment by making production-oriented economy, embrace zero tolerance against corruption and ensuring the state mechanism citizen-friendly.
As stated in the election commitment paper, the citizens’ right to public service will be ensured, the public administration will be made totally digitalized, transparent and accountable, and the property details of the public position holders and officials will be made public online every year.
Likewise, the country’s GDP will be increased to $70 billion by 2030 and $111 billion by 2035, making the upper-middle income country by 2035.
Similarly, hydropower, medicinal herbs, cement, tourism and IT sectors would be prioritized as the key priority areas of the country, according to the election commitment of the party.
Furthermore, the hydropower production will be increased to 12,000 megawatts by 2030 and 25,000 megawatts by 2035 and the power generated in the country will be exported to India, Bangladesh and China. The party has announced to gain $5 billion in a year from the exports of electricity.
The party has also accorded top priority to employment and youth-focused programme, agriculture, tourism and infrastructure development, health care, education and social security.
