Makwanpur, March 31: Three children, two brothers and a cousin, drowned in the Sisneri river located in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3 of Makawanpur today.
Sushanta Acharya, 14, son of Shyam Bahadur Acharya of Sisneri Dodare, Pramesh Ghorasaini, 14, and Pramadh Ghorasaini, 11, who had come to their maternal home in Sisneri from Falbari Dapcha in Kavre, drowned while bathing in the river, Police Inspector Lalita Dhakal of the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi, said.
All three had gone to bathe in the river located behind Sisneri Bazaar and drowned while swimming. They were rescued unconscious and sent to Patan Hospital for treatment but died during treatment, said Police Inspector Dhakal.
