Dharan, Feb 8: The Church Boys United Kathmandu entered the semifinals of the 26th International Invitational Budha Subba Gold Cup being played at Dharan Stadium.
The Church Boys’ United made to the semifinals by defeating Nepal Police Cub 1-0 in the game played on Sunday.
Richard Wilson of the Church Boys became the decisive goal for the team. Richard was named the ‘Man of the Match’ in today’s game and was given Rs 10,000 in prize.
Organizer Dharan Football Club will play against Laliguras FC Pokhara on Monday.
Started on February 4, the tournament will continue until February 14.
The champion of the tournament will get a cash prize of Rs 1 million and the championship trophy, while the runners-up will receive Rs 500,000.
Likewise, the best player will receive a scooter, the organizer said.
