T20 World Cup: England win toss and opt to bat first against Nepal

Kathmandu, Feb 8: England have won the toss and elected to bat first against Nepal in their ICC T20 World Cup 2026 match, set to begin shortly at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

England captain Harry Brook made the decision to bat first after winning the toss in the highly anticipated Group-stage encounter.

For Nepal, Sher Malla is set to make his international debut. The young player, named in the national squad for the first time, will play his maiden match for Nepal on the grand stage of the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, fast bowler Sompal Kami has been left out of the playing XI.
