Damauli, July 19: A skywalk has come into operation at Ainapahara, the tourist site of Abukhaireni rural municipality-2 in Tanahu district. It was launched for commercial purpose today.
It took one and half month for the construction of the skywalk. The overhead structure was built with an objective of developing Ainapahara as a tourist hub, said chairperson of the rural municipality, Shukra Chuman.
One has to pay Rs 250 to enjoy skywalk for an hour. The 50-meter tall and 57-meter long skywalk was built at a cost of Rs 1.5 million.
“While treading on skywalk, one feels unique and adventurous amidst greenery, and peaceful atmosphere in the surrounding,” he said, adding that all safety measures were put in place while constructing it.
Chairperson Chuman expressed the belief that the skywalk would help in tourism development and adventurous activities.
A large number of domestic tourists visit Ainapahara on public holiday and Saturday. Chairperson of Abukhaireni rural municipality-2, Ash Bahadur Gurung, also shared that more than 1,000 domestic tourists visit the place on Saturday and the rural municipality had made income of more than six million rupees from Ainapahara.
Even a park has been constructed to add attraction to Ainapahara. Lord Ganesh has been carved on a stone near Ainapahara waterfall.
