Damauli (Tanahun), June 9: A six-year-old boy has died after coming under leopard attack in Kubadi of Bandipur Rural Municipality-2 here this evening. The deceased has been identified as Utsav Gurung, according to the police.
The leopard attacked him while he was playing in front of his home. He was taken to Bandipur Hospital for treatment after the leopard attack but the doctors declared him dead on arrival, shared Superintendent of Police Birendra Bahadur Shahi.
Incidents of Leopard attacks have increased in Bhanu, Bandipur, and Aanbukhaireni of Tanahun district since the last few years.
In a separate incident, a teenager was electrocuted in Gadayulitar of Ghiring Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahun today. The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Nirmala Kumal, a resident of the same locality, according to the District Police Office.
Kumal, who was injured after touching a live wire from a transmission line while collecting fodder from a tree, died during treatment at the GP Koirala Respiratory Disease Treatment Center in Belchautara.
